After making a number of short films and publicity profiles for Paramount, Twentieth- Century Fox and Universal Pictures, Paul Joyce established an international reputation as a photographer in the1980s with exhibitions at
The National Portrait Gallery, London, The Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris, The Witkin Gallery in New York, and numerous other shows in the US and Europe. He also wrote and directed in the theatre, returning to film and TV with a BBC Play For Today and a classic four-part series of Dr Who with Tom Baker. His company name, Lucida Productions, has become synonymous with high-end arts documentaries and his films have been nominated both for INTERNATIONAL EMMY and CABLE ACE awards, being shown at over 20 Festivals worldwide.
